It is with great pleasure that we, the Lamont Center and Sports Club, Cluj (CCSH Lamont – www.lamont.ro ) and the Little People Association (http://www.thelittle-people.org ) together with the National Paralympic Committee, Romania (NPC,Romania)www.npc.org.ro, the Cluj Directorate for Sport (DSC), welcome you to the Fifth Romanian International Table Tennis Open in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
This tournament will take place over 3 days from Thursday 2nd June - Saturday 4th June 2011 inclusive at the Horea Demian Sports Hall. Arrival of participants and classification will be on Wednesday 1 June and departure on Sunday 5 June. Accommodation will be at the Golden Tulip Hotel, http://www.goldentulipcluj.ro, thePremier Hotel, www.hotelpremier.ro, and the Topaz Hotel http://www.bestwesterntopaz.ro, all of which have excellent conditions for access for the disabled.
Building on the success of our first four Romanian Open competitions, our Organising Committee has already started work to make sure that this competition will continue to be structured well and to ascertain that everything possible will be done to assure the well-being of the participants.
Both new terminals are now open at Cluj airport and we can assure you of the excellent facilities for the disembarkment and embarkment of the disabled. Our minibuses are all booked to assist with the best possible transport for the participants.
We can also assure you the benefits of an excellent and professional sporting environment and we all hope countries attending will appreciate our unique Romanian hospitality and the commitment of our Organising Committee, not to mention the services of our wonderful group of volunteers from the Little People Association who are now renowned everywhere.
We look forward to meeting those who attended in the last four years and hope to make friends with all newcomers.
